Workshop on university mobilization

Mobilizing in an academic environment can sometimes seem a daunting challenge. Busy agendas, diverse membership, and the specificity of the academic environment can make this task complex.

And mobilization goes beyond mere participation; it embodies our ability to positively influence our working environment. By mobilizing our members, we strengthen our collective voice and pave the way for successful negotiations. It’s a strategic investment in the rights of university workers!

At the request of our member locals, we will be proposing a workshop on mobilization!

To facilitate discussion, please prepare answers to the following questions:

  1. Why do you feel you have an issue to mobilize? What would be your mobilization objective?
  2. What mobilization actions have you implemented that have not been as successful as expected? Why do you consider them unsuccessful?
  3. What are your current mobilization initiatives? Are they occasional or recurring?
  4. What resources (human and financial) do you have available for mobilization?
  5. What do you think your members would like to receive from the union? What do you think the union brings to your members?
  6. Which type of action works best with your members?

If not present at the workshop, we strongly encourage you to prepare these points with the person responsible for Mobilization in your local.

We look forward to seeing you online, Friday, March 8 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.!
