At CQSU, we believe that collaboration between university unions is essential to advance the interests of our members. That’s why we organize mutual help and support between university locals.
How we strengthen the network between university locals.
Knowledge sharing
CQSU creates a space for the exchange of knowledge between local sections. We encourage discussion, debate and the sharing of best practices.
In particular, university unions share their expertise, successes and challenges. This enables university unions to learn from each other and develop more effective strategies to achieve their goals.
The exchange of knowledge fosters a more supportive and informed academic community.
Strategic advice
CQSU offers strategic advice to locals facing specific issues or in need of guidance. Our team, made up of members of the academic community, is there to provide informed recommendations to strengthen each local’s position and help them achieve their goals.
Information sharing
Sharing information is a key part of our approach. We provide resources, data and relevant information to help locals stay up-to-date on the latest issues. Sharing information greatly facilitates decision-making, especially during negotiations.
Joint actions
CQSU encourages joint action between local sections, whether at events organized by one of our member sections, or at union conventions. This strengthens the collective voice of university workers and the impact of our efforts.
When you’re part of CQSU, your local chapter is no longer alone, and can count on the support of other university locals!
If you are a member local and would like support for an event, contact the Executive Office!
